Task force allegedly ‘destroys roadside trader’s rice and stew at Bayelsa market’

A Facebook user has accused the Task Force in Bayelsa state of destroying a roadside trader’s rice and stew at the market.
The user, Kumo George Kumo claimed members of a task force team poured away the cooked rice and stew a roadside trader was selling from a wheelbarrow at Swali Market, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
He said the incident occurred during an enforcement exercise on Wednesday morning, October 7, 2026.
He questioned why traders allegedly pay authorities to sell by the roadside, only for their goods to be destroyed.
