After she made the post, men took to her comment section to insult her for exposing the thief. Some expressed hope that she would one day meet a thief who would stab her for exposing him.

Reacting in another post today, Eby wrote: ‘Most young boys are thieves!
‘Yesterday I wrote about calling a conductor’s attention to a guy who didn’t pay his fare and the number of backlash I’m getting from young boys is alarming.
‘The older men who commented were so reasonable.
‘But you see young boys chanting
‘“mind your business”
‘“Why are you spoiling someone’s game?”
‘“One day they will stabbbb you”
‘These are the people that go for igba boyi and loot someone’s business to zero!
‘You people think you are the only ones that has the monopoly of madness?
‘That thing you and your fellow thieves are carrying about, do you know what me I’m carrying?
‘Have you gone through my bag?
‘Abi you think say na only you and your fellow thieves fit carry something?
‘Put head make I use am do pepper soup! Ndi oshi born by ndi oshi.’
