Singer Sexyy Red facing potential $5M judgment after allegedly asking fans to attack kid’s grandma

Rapper Sexyy Red is facing a request for a $5 million default judgment in a lawsuit filed by her child’s grandmother, who alleges that the artist encouraged her social media followers to attack her.

Nicole Barnes claims in court documents that Sexyy Red shared her home address online and urged her followers to “kick the door in” and commit acts of violence at the property.

Barnes alleges that the rapper’s actions placed her in immediate danger and forced her to leave her home. The lawsuit was originally filed in March 2025. Barnes now claims that Sexyy Red, who has about five million followers on Instagram, has failed to respond to the case.

According to Barnes, attempts to serve the rapper through conventional methods were unsuccessful. She subsequently obtained service by publication in a newspaper but alleges that Sexyy Red still did not respond to the lawsuit. Barnes is now asking the court to enter a default judgment against the rapper and award her $5 million.

A judge has not yet ruled on the request. Sexyy Red’s attorney, Jason Lampert, rejected the allegations and said the rapper intends to contest the lawsuit. “The claims asserted in this case are baseless and completely without merit. Red categorically denies these allegations and looks forward to defending herself in court,” Lampert said.

Sexyy Red has two children, a four-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter. The $5 million sought by Barnes is a requested default judgment and has not been awarded by the court. The allegations against Sexyy Red also remain claims in a civil lawsuit and have not been established by a court.
