Zamfara: Yari meets Islamic scholars, seeks prayers for peace, Tinubu’s victory in 2027

A former Governor of Zamfara State, and the Director General of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Campaign Council Saturday met with a delegation of Islamic scholars in Zamfara state to seek divine intervention for lasting peace in Nigeria and support for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at a meeting held at his residence in Talata Mafara Town, Senator Yari emphasised the role of spiritual guidance in national stability.

He called on the scholars to intensify prayers for the restoration of peace and security across the country, particularly in the Northwest region.

He said the federal government under President Tinubu remains committed to addressing the lingering insecurity affecting communities in Zamfara and other parts of Nigeria.

“The President is working round the clock to tackle insecurity in the Northwest and other parts of the country.

“We need the support of our religious leaders to complement government efforts through prayers and public enlightenment.” He said

The Senator also urged the clerics to sensitise their followers on the achievements of the current administration in the economy and other sectors, noting that public understanding is critical to sustaining ongoing reforms.

In their separate prayers, the Islamic scholars prayed for a peaceful campaign period and a credible election in 2027.

They pledged their support to President  Tinubu and the federal government in the next general elections.

 The scholars commended Senator Yari for the engagement and assured him of their continued commitment to preach unity, tolerance, and support for government policies aimed at improving the welfare of citizens.
