Tea seller hacked in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has commenced a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the de@th of Muhammad Auwal Idris, a young tea seller from Nassarawo Borehole, Jimeta, who was allegedly attacked and k!lled by a group of youths.

A statement from the command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, says on September 28, one Aliyu Idris, brother of the deceased, reported at the Doubeli Divisional Headquarters that, on the same date, his younger brother, Muhammad Auwal Idris, was allegedly att@cked by four individuals.

Nguroje said upon receipt of the report, a team of police operatives was immediately mobilised to the scene, where the victim was found lying unconscious. He was promptly evacuated to a medical facility for urgent medical attention.

However, upon arrival at the hospital, the victim was examined and certified de@d by the medical doctor on duty. His remains have since been deposited at the mortuary for autopsy.

Nguroje said preliminary investigation has commenced, and the identities of the persons allegedly involved in the incident have been established as Isa, Japhet, Omo and Henry. He mentioned that the suspects are currently at large, while efforts are ongoing to track them down, apprehend them, and bring them to justice.

He urged members of the public to remain calm and refrain from taking the law into their own hands, as the Command has commenced necessary investigative action into the matter.
