Police Arrest Two Suspected Kidnappers in Oyo

The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two suspects linked to the abduction of a 38-year-old man, Nathaniel Peter, at Layeri Village near Ikoyi-Ile.

Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, disclosed in a statement on Sunday that the suspects, identified as Muhammadu Abubakar and 17-year-old Jayun Danali, were apprehended during ongoing investigations into the incident.

According to preliminary findings, three armed men broke into Peter’s residence and forcibly abducted him.

Ayanlade noted that the arrested suspects are currently assisting investigators with vital information, while efforts are underway to track down other members of the gang.

The police assured residents that they remain committed to tackling kidnapping and other violent crimes across the state.
