A Nigerian woman, Valentine, who lost both legs in an accident has shared a heartbreaking post, wishing she had stayed home on that fateful day.

Valentine revealed that the accident occurred on February 13, 2024, altering the course of her life.

“Take me back to 13/02/2024. I would ’ve stayed at home that day oo,” she wrote.

Reflecting on her life after the life-altering accident, Valentine said she lost her freedom and a part of the life she knew.

“These used to be my legs… before an accident changed everything. Since that day, life has never been the same. I lost more than just my legs—I lost a part of the life I knew, the freedom I once had, and the person I thought I would always be,” she wrote.

“But somehow, through all the pain, tears, and changes, I’m still here. I may never get back the life I had before, but I’m learning to embrace the life I have now. My story changed, but it did not end. Some scars are reminders of what we survived.”
