Nigerian social media activist Justice Crack files ₦5bn suit against Nigerian Army, Chief of Army Staff, AGF over alleged rights violations

Social media activist Chidiebere Justice Mark, popularly known as Justice Crack, has filed a ₦5 billion suit against the Nigerian Army, Chief of Army Staff and Attorney-General of the Federation over alleged violation of his fundamental rights.
In the suit filed before the Federal High Court in Abuja, Justice alleged that he was arrested, detained and tortured by the Nigerian Army over an alleged false publication and breach of the Army’s social media policy.
He also alleged that the Army seized and impounded his Hyundai saloon car on April 28, 2026, before it was released on June 9 in a damaged state.
Justice is asking the court to declare the alleged actions unconstitutional, unlawful and illegal, and to restrain the Army and its officers from further arresting, detaining or investigating him over the matter.
He is also seeking ₦5 billion in exemplary damages for alleged humiliation, harassment, intimidation, hardship and suffering, alongside ₦100 million over the alleged seizure and damage to his car and another ₦200 million in general damages.
