Asake, the Nigerian singer, has submitted four entries for
consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards, according to an announcement by his
label Giran Republik.

The submissions include his album ‘M$NEY’ and collaborations
with Wizkid and DJ Snake, spanning several categories such as ‘Album of the
Year,’ ‘Record of the Year,’ and ‘Best African Music Performance’.

‘M$NEY’ has been entered for ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Best
Global Music Album’.

‘Jogodo,’ his collaboration with Grammy winner Wizkid, is
listed in the ‘Best African Music Performance’ category, while ‘Gratitude’ is
being considered for ‘Record of the Year,’ ‘Song of the Year,’ and ‘Best
African Music Performance’.

‘Worship,’ his collaboration with French DJ and record
producer DJ Snake, has been listed for ‘Best Dance Pop Recording’.

According to the Recording Academy, first-round voting for
the 69th Grammy Awards is scheduled to run from October 12 to 22, with nominees
set to be announced on November 16.

The main award ceremony will take place on February 7, 2027,
in Los Angeles.

Asake has previously received two Grammy nominations, both
in the ‘Best African Music Performance’ category.

He was nominated in 2024 for ‘Amapiano’, his collaboration
with Olamide, and in 2025 for ‘MMS’, his collaboration with Wizkid. He,
however, lost in both categories.

Asake launched Giran Republik in February 2025, signalling
his departure from YBNL Nation, the record label owned by rapper Olamide.

Born Ahmed Ololade, Asake rose to fame in 2020 with his hit
song ‘Lady’. The singer joined YBNL in February 2022.
