ADC organises special prayers for Atiku’s victory in Katsina

The Katsina state chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Monday organised special prayers for God’s mercy and victory of its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

The prayers session was organised by the party’s House of Assembly Aspirants/Candidates Forum and held at the Sen. Ahmad Babba Kaita gubernatorial campaign office in Katsina.

In his welcome address, chairman of the forum, Hon. Abdurrazak Kaita, said the forum invited Islamic scholars who memorised the Holy Qur’an and shared the concerns of the current multi-sectoral suffering facing Nigerians to read the Holy Book from beginning to end with the intention of calling on Allah to come to the aid of the citizens and the nation.

Kaita said, the Qur’anic recitations started in the early hours of Sunday and lasted till around 5:30pm when many other citizens from all walks of life and cutting across all political party lines joined in the prayers.

He stated that prayers were particularly held against corruption, armed banditry and all those behind them.

In his remarks, spokesman to Sen. Ahmad Babba Kaita, Abubakar Ahmed, appreciated the concern and initiative of the organisers and prayed Allah to accept the calls as well as grant lasting solution to the hardship faced by Nigerians.

Ahmed revealed that his principal, who has now recovered from his illness after undergoing surgery abroad, is now expected back in Nigeria to fully carry out his political activities ahead of the upcoming 2027 polls.

The special prayers were offered for the success of the ADC presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the quick recovery, and safe return and victory of the Katsina state ADC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita.
