Suspected Fulani militias k!ll 32-year-old man in Plateau

A 32-year-old man, identified as Fwangmun Karimu, has been k!lled in an attack at Sabon Gari Village in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The incident occurred at about 10:15 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026, when troops of Sector 8, Operation Hakorin Damisa (OPEP), responded to a report of an attack and killing in the community.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, troops arrived at the location and found that Karimu had been shot d3ad by suspected Fulani militias who allegedly infiltrated the community from the Mangu Halle axis.

The attackers reportedly took advantage of heavy rainfall to conceal their movement and subsequently escaped from the area.

The victim was later buried in accordance with local customs.

Security forces have commenced efforts to track down and apprehend the perpetrators, while troops continue to dominate the general area to prevent further attacks.
