Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has vowed that Ankara will continue its diplomatic efforts to guarantee Lebanon’s security, pledging to provide all possible assistance to foster peace and stability in the country.

The commitments were made during a meeting on Friday between President Erdogan and Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam in Istanbul, where the two leaders reviewed regional developments and discussed the future of bilateral relations.

Erdogan welcomed Salam with an official ceremony at the Vahdettin Mansion before the two leaders briefly viewed Istanbul’s historic skyline from the pavilion.

They later held bilateral talks focused on Türkiye-Lebanon relations and regional developments.

“Türkiye values its relations with its brotherly country Lebanon,” Erdogan said, adding that closer diplomatic engagement would be beneficial.
