“The worst thing you can do as a man is to end up with an Igbo woman” — Nigerian entertainer Speed Darlington attacks Igbo women

Nigerian entertainer Speed Darlington has sparked controversy after making disparaging comments about Igbo women.

In a video shared online, the singer claimed that Igbo women have “no value” and questioned what he believes they offer compared to women from other ethnic groups.

“The worst thing you can do as a man is to end up with an Igbo girl/woman. Igbo girls have no value. What does Igbo women have that other girls don’t have?” he said.

Speed Darlington went on to warn men against marrying Igbo women, claiming that doing so would prevent them from making progress in life.

He also made other insulting remarks about Igbo women, questioned why they act proudly and referenced the lack of an Igbo president in Nigeria while making his argument.
