FirstBank, West Africa’s premier financial institution and the leading financial inclusion service provider, is set to host the 2026 edition of its flagship Agric and Export Expo.

The event is scheduled to hold on 16 and 17 September 2026 at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos.

The conference with the theme “From Farm to Global Markets: Building Nigeria’s Export Value Chain,” will bring together policymakers, regulators, agribusiness leaders, exporters, investors, development partners, and key stakeholders across the agricultural and export ecosystem to explore practical strategies for strengthening Nigeria’s non-oil export sector and enhancing the country’s global competitiveness.

The FirstBank Agric and Export Conference, which is in its fifth edition has evolved into one of Nigeria’s foremost platforms for promoting dialogue, collaboration, and innovation within the agriculture and export sectors.

Through this initiative, FirstBank continues to champion the growth of agriculture and non-oil exports as critical drivers of economic diversification, food security, value creation, and sustainable foreign exchange earnings.

The two-day conference will provide participants with valuable insights into emerging trends, market opportunities, financing solutions, technology-driven innovations, and policy frameworks shaping the future of agriculture and trade.

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, will deliver the keynote address, providing perspectives on advancing agricultural productivity and strengthening food systems.

The event will also be graced by several Special Guests, including His Excellency, Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State; His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State; His Excellency, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State; His Excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State; and His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, among others.

Speaking at the FirstBank Agric and Export Expo, Olusegun Alebiosu, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, FirstBank Group, underscored the critical role of agriculture and non-oil exports in driving Nigeria’s economic transformation and long-term prosperity.

He noted that while agriculture remains the backbone of sustainable economic growth, the expansion of non-oil exports presents a significant opportunity to diversify the nation’s revenue base, boost foreign exchange earnings, and strengthen economic resilience.

He further stated that “the FirstBank Agric and Export Expo serves as a strategic platform for convening industry leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, development partners, and key stakeholders to foster collaboration, exchange knowledge, and develop innovative solutions that will unlock value across the agricultural and export value chains. Through this initiative, FirstBank reaffirms its commitment to supporting inclusive economic growth and accelerating the development of globally competitive agricultural and non-oil export sectors.”
