The newly formed Southern Kaduna APC Elders Forum has declared support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna state Governor Uba Sani in the 2027 elections, citing increased political inclusion and development interventions in the region.

The forum made its position known ahead of its formal inauguration in Kafanchan, saying continuity in government would provide an opportunity to consolidate ongoing programmes and complete development projects across Southern Kaduna.

Coordinator of the forum, Hon. Micah John Avong, said Southern Kaduna had witnessed a renewed sense of inclusion under Governor Uba Sani, particularly through infrastructure development, education and greater representation in government.

The elders listed the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia; Federal Medical Centre, Kafanchan; Military Command Centre at Samaru Kataf; Command Secondary School in Zangon Kataf; and UBEC Junior Vocational Secondary School at Jagindi among interventions they said had strengthened their confidence in the current administration.

The forum also welcomed the nomination of Comrade Jerry Adams as deputy governorship candidate, describing it as a significant gesture of inclusion and recognition of the contribution of Southern Kaduna to the political and developmental progress of the state.

The elders said they would mobilise support for the APC ahead of the 2027 elections while promoting peaceful political participation, reconciliation and grassroots engagement.

They said their role would extend beyond electoral mobilisation to providing strategic counsel to party leaders, mentoring younger politicians and advocating the interests of Southern Kaduna.

The forum urged APC members across the region to close ranks and resolve differences through dialogue, saying Southern Kaduna needed a united political voice capable of engaging government constructively and attracting more development to the area.
