The Osun state governor, Ademola Adeleke, has urged residents, particularly those in border communities, to report any suspicious individual or unusual movements to security agencies.

This  followed reports of planned terrorist attacks on places of worship across the state.

A statement issued Sunday by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, said the governor stated the vital role of community intelligence in neutralising security risks.

Governor Adeleke, who is currently on vacation in Europe, confirmed he will convene a State Security Council meeting upon his return to evaluate the situation and refine the state’s defensive strategy.
