2027 polls: I won’t rely on federal allocations to run Adamawa if elected governor – APC candidate

The  governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Adamawa state, Alh. Aminu Tijjani Galadima, has assured the people of the state of better days ahead.

He also promised  to change the fortune of the state for good  without depending on federal allocations if elected Governor.

 He gave this assurance  at the official flagg off of his electioneering campaign  on Wednesday in Yola.

He vowed to  grow the economy of the state, improve the internally generated revenue to fund projects  and build upon the achievements and legacies of the Fintiri administration.

“Adamawa cannot remain  indefinately dependent on allocations from Abuja. A state that doesn’t engage in sufficient  economic activities of its own  will always have limited resources.

“Our solution will not be to place heavy burden on people who are already struggling. Our objective will be to increased internally generated revenue by expanding the economic base of the state,” he said.

He also promised to give attention to massive infrastructural drive across the length and breadth of the state, and prioritise agriculture, security, education, youth and women empowerments, health, poverty reduction and economic development.

Galadima  who was the immidiate past Executive Secretary of Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) also promised to tackle poverty, attract investments into mining sector, encourage local processing,  promote public private partnerships with institutions and credible investors  among other efforts to transform the state.

The APC gubernatorial candidate also vow  to run a people centred administration that will be honest  just, fair, transparent  and accountable to the people of the state, and  above all, carry the citizens along in running of the state.
