Nigeria police mourn Rivers state POCACOV coordinator ASP Akachim

The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is mourning the passing of its Rivers State Coordinator,  ASP Raymond Divine Akachim, whose death has left a deep void within the POCACOV family.

The National Coordinator, POCACOV, SP Orvenonne Ikwen, in a press statement, Monday in Abuja, noted that:, “At the time of his passing, he was preparing to commence plans and activities for POCACOV in Rivers state, with a clear commitment to advancing our mission of preventive policing, youth engagement and safer communities. His plans had only just begun to take shape; there were communities to reach, young people to engage and lives to impact.

“His sudden departure is therefore particularly painful, coming at a time when his journey of service had only just begun. We mourn not only the loss of a Coordinator, but the loss of a colleague who had answered the call to serve and was ready to contribute to a cause dedicated to protecting the future of our young people.

“Some lives leave this world before the work they set out to do is complete. What remains is the memory of their willingness to serve and the purpose they embraced.

“On behalf of the entire POCACOV family, I extend our deepest condolences to his immediate family, loved ones, colleagues and friends. May Almighty God grant them the strength and fortitude to bear this painful and irreparable loss.

“May the soul of our dear Rivers State Coordinator rest in perfect peace.

You had only just begun the journey of service, but your place in the POCACOV family will not be forgotten,” she concluded
