“If you have a husband who has been there for you, please don’t give up on him” — Actress Sarah Martins counters Saida Boj

Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has advised women not to abandon their husbands if they have been supportive and financially responsible in the past.
Her comments come amid a recent debate sparked by social media personality Saida Boj over women feeding their husbands.
Sarah said her message was not intended to counter or discredit Saida Boj’s opinion, but to offer her own advice to women based on her personal experience.
She urged women whose husbands have always provided for the family to support them if they suddenly face financial difficulties and the women are in a position to take over the family’s responsibilities.
“If you have a man or a husband that has been there for you, that has provided for you, I mean a provider kind of man, and along the line, life happens to him, please don’t give up on your man,” she said.
The actress said she has previously fed a man, paid his rent and provided for him, adding that she would do the same again for a “good man.”
She compared such support to how some husbands continue to love and support their wives after childbirth, saying women should also be willing to stand by their husbands when circumstances change.
However, Sarah stressed that she was not advocating for women to financially support lazy men who are unwilling to contribute to their families.
