Ibom Air has officially recorded its five-million passenger milestone, marking a significant growth phase for the Akwa Ibom state-owned carrier since launching commercial operations.
The landmark figure was attained on September 25, 2026, during the airline’s 65,787th scheduled commercial flight.
In an official statement signed by the Group Manager for Marketing and Communications, Aniekan Essienette, the airline attributed the milestone to sustained passenger loyalty, workforce dedication and strong stakeholder partnerships.
“This achievement reflects the enduring trust and confidence that passengers continue to place in Ibom Air and reinforces the airline’s commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and customer-focused air transport services across its network,” Essienette stated.
“Reaching five million passengers is strong evidence of our customers’ loyalty, our employees’ dedication, and the support of our partners,” he said.
