Gunmen kill 38-year-old man in Plateau community

A 38-year-old man, Mr Raymond Dalyop, has been k!lled by suspected Fulani militias while returning from a mining site at Dum community in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.

According to security analyst, Zagazola Makama, the incident occurred at about 6:00 p.m. on September 28, 2026, when troops of Sector 6, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), deployed at Bachit, responded to a report of an attack and k!lling in the area.

Upon arrival at the scene, the troops discovered the corpse of Dalyop, while his pumping machine was reportedly taken away by the assailants.

The victim’s corpse was evacuated by members of the community for burial.

The troops have activated a manhunt for the perpetrators and intensified efforts to track down those responsible for the k!lling.
