FCT police commissioner presents ₦74.4m life assurance cheques to 143 fallen officers next of kin

The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Sanusi, Friday, presented Group Life Assurance cheques totaling ₦74,424,762 (Seventy-four million, four hundred and twenty-four thousand, seven hundred and sixty-two naira, five kobo) to 143 next of kin of fallen Police heroes at the FCT Police Command Headquarters, Garki II, Abuja.

A press statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Command, SP Josephine Adeh, noted that the presentation formed part of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) continued commitment, under the leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji RDisu, to the welfare of Police personnel and the families of officers who lost their lives in the course of service to the nation.

She said while addressing the beneficiaries, the CP conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the fallen officers and acknowledged the sacrifices made by the officers in the service of the nation.

The Police boss reassured the beneficiaries of the Force’s continued support and stressed that the sacrifices of the fallen heroes will never be forgotten.
