Elementary school teacher allegedly tried to k!ss girls and show students nud3s

A former Florida elementary school teacher has been arrested over allegations that he showed inappropriate images, including his nud3s, to young female students and touched some of them inappropriately.

Cesar Oriol Cardoso, a former teacher at Sunset Park Elementary School, was arrested last Friday following allegations detailed in an arrest report.

According to the report, one student told investigators that Cardoso showed her inappropriate photographs and videos, including an image of himself naked and facing a mirror with his genitals exposed. The student also alleged that Cardoso showed her a pornographic video involving a young boy and an adult woman.

She further told detectives that she and another student were playing when Cardoso “slapped both students on the buttocks and in a playful tone told them that if they continued misbehaving, he would hit them on the butt.” Another alleged victim told investigators that Cardoso once said he wanted to kiss her and attempted to do so, but she turned her head away.

Cardoso was also accused of telling several girls they were “beautiful” and attempting to stroke their hair. Miami-Dade County Public Schools said in a statement on Monday that officials were “deeply troubled by the disturbing allegations.” The school district said it had launched an investigation and barred Cardoso from working in the district.

Cardoso has been charged with offences against students by authority figures, showing obscene material to a minor, and lewd and lascivious conduct involving a child under 16. Jail records indicate that Cardoso is being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
