Actress Margot Robbie changes her name after nearly 10 years of marriage

Hollywood actress Margot Robbie has quietly taken her husband Tom Ackerley’s surname nearly 10 years after their marriage.

The “Barbie” star, 36, is now listed as Margot Elise Ackerley in corporate documents for the couple’s production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, filed with the UK’s Companies House.

The filing shows that her name was changed from Margot Elise Robbie to Margot Elise Ackerley. She had continued using Robbie professionally since becoming a director of LuckyChap Entertainment in 2015.

Robbie is, however, expected to retain her maiden name professionally.

She and Ackerley, 36, co-founded LuckyChap Entertainment in 2014 with Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr. The couple got married in an intimate ceremony in Byron Bay, Australia, in December 2016 after dating for two years.

They welcomed their first child, a son, in October 2024.
