Court remands two men accused of s3xually abusing 9-year-old girl and three underage boys in Abia

A court in Abia State has remanded two men in prison custody for allegedly s3xually abusing four minors.

Activist Comrade Ochiegbu Marvelous disclosed this in a Facebook post on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

According to him, one of the suspects, Mr. Ikechukwu Emmanuel was accused of def!ling a 9-year-old girl at Umuana Ndume, Ibeku.

The other suspect, Mr. Levi, a band owner and musician, was accused of s3xually abusing three boys at Owerrinta, Isialangwa.

The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty.

Both were remanded at Afara Correctional Centre Umuahia.

The case was adjourned till January 29, 2027.

Taking to Facebook to report the case Mr Ochiegbu wrote;

“Today, Mr. Ikechukwu Emmanuel who was accused in connection with the alleged def!lement of a 9 year old girl at Umuana Ndume, Ibeku, was charged to court and he pleaded guilty,” he wrote.

“Also charged to court today was Mr. Levi, a band owner and musician, who was accused of s3xually abusing three boys at Owerrinta, Isialangwa. Both were remanded at Afara Correctional Centre Umuahia, Abia state.

“These are difficult cases, especially when children are involved. Every child deserves to grow up in safety, dignity and peace. Child abuse must never be normalised, hidden or tolerated.

“I sincerely appreciate my wonderful team, especially my Head of Intervention, Comrade Felix and the entire Behind Bars Human Rights Foundation Abia State Chapter, for their dedication, sacrifice and devotion to serving humanity.
