13-year-old boy allegedly st@bs man to d3ath in Yobe

The Yobe State Police Command has arrested a 13-year-old boy for st@bbing one Adamu Bukar Tamba, 19, to d3ath in Damaturu.

The spokesperson for the command, ASP Yusuf Adamu Aliyu said the incident occurred on September 10, 2026 following an argument between the suspect, Umar Suleiman and Adamu.

The PPRO said the victim’s father reported the incident at the ‘B’ Divisional Headquarters, Damaturu.

According to ASP Aliyu, detectives mobilized to the scene after receiving the report and found the victim in a pool of blood.

He said the victim was rushed to the Specialist Hospital, Damaturu, for treatment but was later confirmed d3ad by a doctor.

“On 10th September 2026, one Bukar Tamba ‘M’ of Maduri Ward, Damaturu, reported at the ‘B’ Divisional Headquarters, Damaturu, that his son, one Adamu Bukar Tamba ‘M’ 19 yrs of the same address, had been st@bbed with a knife by one Umar Suleiman ‘M’  13yrs of the same address,” the statement read.

“Upon receipt of the report, detectives attached to the Division immediately mobilised to the scene, where they found the victim in a pool of blood.

“He was promptly evacuated to the Specialist Hospital, Damaturu, for medical attention.

“However, while receiving treatment, he was confirmed d3ad by the attending medical doctor.

“The suspect was arrested and is currently in Police custody.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the incident occurred during an argument between the two.

“Investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and ensure that justice is served in accordance with the law.”
