Man who k!lled three in 2005 burglary at his neighbor?s home is executed

A man has been put to de@th for the 2005 fatal shooting of three people during an attempted robbery at his neighbor’s home in rural Texas, the state’s fifth execution this year.

LeJames Norman, 40, was put to de@th by lethal injection on Wednesday, September 16,  at the state penitentiary in Huntsville.

He had been sentenced to de@th in the fatal sho0tings of Samuel Roberts, 24, Tiffani Peacock, 18, and Celso Lopez, 38, inside the home they shared in Edna, located about 100 miles (161 kilometers) southwest of Houston.

According to court records, Norman and Ker’Sean Ramey believed there was coc@ine inside the home and went there intending to steal it. They never found any drugs.

Norman was arrested about five months after the murd£rs while trying to cross back into the United States from Mexico.

In his final moments, Norman lay on a thin mattress atop a steel table and looked toward a window. His sister, two of his children, and a friend were there watching him.

After receiving a lethal dose of the sedative pentobarbital, Norman took a couple of deep breaths, appeared to yawn, and made several snoring sounds. He then stopped moving.

A physician examined him about 30 minutes later, and Norman was pronounced de@d at 6:44 p.m.

No relatives or friends of the three people he k!lled witnessed the execution.

Norman was the fifth inmate executed in Texas this year.
