2027 polls: How Wike prepared grounds for Tinubu, others to win FCT- RTIFN Coordinator

A political group, Relax Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), has said that the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike, has prepared grounds for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates to win in the nation’s capital in next years general elections.

Addressing journalists after the inauguration of the FCT chapter of RTIFN in Abuja, Thursday, the newly inaugurated FCT Coordinator of RTIFN, Comrade Donald Amagbo, lauded Wike for transforming the Territory’s infrastructure, pointing to the many constructed road networks and urban facelift projects as visible evidence of the administration’s progress.

Coordinator lauds Tinubu, Wike
The newly inaugurated FCT Coordinator for the group, Comrade Dr. Donald Amagbo, thanked the founder of the organization, Seyi Tinubu, and its Director-General, Ahmed Bala, for the opportunity given them to serve, promising they would work assiduously for the President to break the jinx of ruling parties losing in the FCT, and ensure Tinubu wins.

He pledged that the chapter will mobilise FCT residents for the President and the APC across the six area councils of AMAC, Gwagwalada, Kuje, Kwali, Abaji, and Bwari, for the 2027 presidential election.

He said: “First of all, I wish to praise the wisdom of our father, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for bringing Ezenwo Nyesom Wike to the FCT, and I am sure you can see for yourself what the President has supported him to do in the FCT.

“The infrastructural turn around is unprecedented, and I am sure FCT residents, not only those who live in the urban areas, but particularly those in the rural areas can enjoy, for the first time, what those in the city have been enjoying since the Territory was created 50 years ago

“His performance in the FCT has given us a score card with which to campaign for the President’s second term in office. Residents will surely identity with the good road networks with street lights and drainages. That is the kind of fixing we are talking.

“Barrister Nyesom Wike is a working Minister. He’s someone we know very well, a man of integrity. We the residents of the FCT -the aborigines, everybody can testify to what His Excellency Barrister Nyesom Wike has done in the FCT. See a lot of the road infrastructure in the FCT. You can see by yourself.

“For example, see how the City Gate is looking….like another London. So, we in the FCT are happy that we are benefiting from the dividends of Mr. President. We are ready, come 2027, to canvass and vote for Mr. President, because of the work he has done and continues to do in the nation’s capital through His Excellency Barrister Nyesom Wike.”

Director-General solicits support for Tinubu
Speaking earlier, the Director-General of the group, Ahmed Bala, charged members of the group to take the message to Nigerians with humility, and compassion, urging them to be abreast of the numerous good things the President has achieved so far.

He described President Tinubu as “God-sent” to reverse decades of economic and infrastructural decay.

He noted that fixing the country’s long-standing challenges requires time and collective endurance, expressing hope that he would be returned next year.

“Our job is to go around the 36 states engaging the youth and grassroots to explain the achievements of Mr. President. He inherited a battered economy, and four years is not enough to fix everything. The policies are tough, but like surgery to an injury, this is the necessary first step to a better Nigeria,” Bala said.

Zack Orji commends Tinubu on policies
Corroborating the Director-General, the Deputy Director-General of the movement, Zack Orji, cited specific fiscal policies implemented under the Renewed Hope Agenda, including the removal of fuel subsidy, the creation of regional development commissions with ₦150 billion take-off grants, and Supreme Court-backed financial autonomy for local governments.

The veteran actor noted that state allocations to the subnationals have increased significantly -up to 500% in some instances, and urged citizens to hold local representatives and state governors accountable for resource utilization.

“The President has made sure there are enough funds at every level to take care of the people. Reforms are painful, but in two years, Nigerians will see the full results,” Orji stated.

Also speaking, the proup’s National Director for Town Hall and Public Engagement, Deborah Farida Ibrahim, and the National Spokesman (North), Dr. Hamza Abubakar Haruna, reiterated the need for continuity.

They stressed that complex economic restructuring requires sustained leadership beyond a single term to complete key national projects and fully stabilize the economy.
