The broader gainers’ data also showed FGSUK2032S7 rising 14.41 percent from N118.00 to N135.00. However, the instrument is a government security rather than an ordinary company equity, leaving Sovereign Trust Insurance as the leading equity gainer among the securities supplied.
The positive price movement occurred alongside a sharp increase in overall trading activity.
Investors exchanged 662.43 million shares worth N37.45 billion in 63,271 deals, compared with 428.97 million shares valued at N20.52 billion in 54,592 deals on September 14.

The simultaneous presence of substantial gains and losses indicates that investors remained selective even as overall market conditions improved.
Sovereign Trust Insurance’s 9.69 percent advance placed the insurer at the forefront of the equity gainers, while the rise in market turnover and capitalisation showed that the broader September 16 rally was supported by stronger participation than the previous session.
