Woman allegedly st@bs banker boyfriend to d£@th after he told her he had âmet someone elseâ
A 51-year-old woman has been accused of st@bb!ng her banker partner to d£@th in their London home after he told her he had met another woman at work.
Joanna Cierpka is on trial at the Old Bailey for the alleged mÂ¥rder of 52-year-old Danish banker Henrik Slotsaa, who worked at Citibankâs Canary Wharf office.
The court heard that Slotsaa had told Cierpka he had met someone else at work. Prosecutors allege he was later st@bb£d multiple times and his body was left in their bedroom for days before police discovered it on March 15.
Prosecutors said Slotsaa suffered 14 st@b wounds, including injuries to his neck, while he also had defensive cuts on his hands.
Police reportedly forced their way into the coupleâs flat after welfare concerns were raised and found Slotsaaâs body, which had been left there for some time.
Cierpka was also found injured and taken to hospital, where she reportedly wrote and signed a note stating, âI k!ll£d my partner.â
Cierpka denies m¥rder but has admitted mansl@ughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
