To tackle insecurity, boost rural economy.

The governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Nasarawa state, Mr. Christopher Mamman, has unveiled a seven-point agenda aimed at addressing insecurity, unemployment, poverty and inadequate public services in the state ahead of the 2027 election.

Briefing newsmen in Lafia on Wednesday, he described the blueprint as a roadmap for economic relief, improved welfare, stronger security and responsive governance.

He appealed to voters to support him, assuring them that he would reciprocate their mandate with improved social amenities, responsive governance and better living conditions.

He said his priority would be to make government more responsive to the needs of ordinary citizens of the state.

Mamman said his administration would also prioritise rural communities through targeted investments in security, infrastructure, agriculture and grassroots governance, even as he promised affordable mass housing development for citizens.

“I am doing so alongside my able running mate, Alhaji Aliyu Usman Gurku, as the deputy governorship candidate. This, therefore, is an announcement of candidature, but it is also an announcement of purpose”

”Our mission to develop Nasarawa economy is not just going to hinge about providing jobs, but creating wealth. We have the material resources; we also have the human resources. It is, therefore, realistic and realizable”

”Nasarawa state, our dear state, is full of solid minerals, and we are richer in arable land, we are richer in tourism sites, we are blessed with all kinds of natural endowments. Competitively, our state is apt in human resource expertise. He said

The governorship candidate said would work closely with security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders, vigilante groups and local governments to strengthen community-based security structures across the state.

He urged residents to support the party, expressing confidence that his administration would provide relief from poverty.
