The Kwara state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has declared Monday, October 5th, as a work-free day for teachers to commemorate the World Teachers’ Day (WTD) in the state.
This was contained in a statement on Friday signed by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mashood Abdulrafiu Agboola.
The governor thanked teachers for their efforts and resilience, just as he wished for them “more rewarding and prosperous service to humanity.”
AbdulRazaq also reassured the teachers of his administration’s commitment to their welfare, as well as that of every Kwaran.
“His Excellency extends his best wishes to teachers across the length and breadth of the state whose contributions to human capital development is acknowledged at all times. He thanks our teachers for their efforts and resilience,” the statement read.
