Sowore proposed using artificial intelligence to manage Nigeria’s public finances and drone technology to strengthen national defence.

• He said blockchain technology would create transparent, tamper-proof records of all government transactions to curb corruption.

• The AAC presidential candidate said technology-driven governance would reduce bureaucracy, improve accountability and modernise public service delivery.

African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has unveiled key elements of his 2027 presidential manifesto, proposing the use of artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain technology and drone systems to reform governance, combat corruption and strengthen national security.

Sowore, in separate posts on his verified X account on Friday, said his administration would embrace emerging technologies to improve transparency, eliminate waste and modernise public administration if elected president.

He proposed that artificial intelligence should effectively function as the country’s “Minister of Finance”, while drone technology would play a central role in national defence and security operations.

According to him, AI-driven financial management would reduce human interference in public finance by making transparent, data-based decisions capable of eliminating corruption and inefficiency.

Sowore also argued that blockchain technology would provide a permanent, tamper-proof public record of government transactions, contracts, budget allocations and expenditures, making financial records accessible for public scrutiny.

He added that artificial intelligence would continuously monitor government operations, detect suspicious transactions, expose procurement irregularities, identify conflicts of interest and flag potential fraud before public funds are lost.

The former presidential candidate said combining AI and blockchain technology would make corruption more difficult to perpetrate, easier to detect and quicker to punish.

Sowore further maintained that technology-driven governance would reduce bureaucratic bottlenecks, eliminate excessive government spending and replace outdated administrative processes with faster and more accountable systems.

He said his vision is to build a lean, transparent and efficient government focused on improving the quality of life of Nigerians through digital innovation rather than political patronage.
