Afrobeats superstar, Davido has publicly mocked the Nigeria Police Force over reports that many of its officers deployed to Osun State for the August 15 governorship election remain stranded in the state weeks after the poll.

Reacting to the report via his verified X handle, Davido questioned whether the continued presence of the officers was due to a failure to secure the desired electoral outcome.

“Could it be because dem no deliver?” he tweeted.

The officers, drawn from various Mobile Police Force squadrons, were deployed for the election but have reportedly not been withdrawn to their original formations.

They have reportedly remained in various camps across the state for weeks, even after the election was concluded.

Davido publicly declared his support for the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, his uncle during the election.

DAILY POST reports that Adeleke won the election in 19 local government areas of the state after polling 511,067 votes against his opponent, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who won in 11 local government areas with 444,815 votes.
