Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has called for peaceful coexistence among citizens for sustainable development and economy growth.
He said that peace and unity remain the foundation for sustaining investment and development in the state.
Sule stated this on Tuesday in Lafia, at the Nasarawa state cultural carnival organised to mark the state’s 30th anniversary.
He said Nasarawa’s economic prospects, particularly in solid minerals, depend on the state’s peace and stability.
The governor said that the state had attracted investors who were mining and processing minerals locally, a shift he linked to peaceful coexistence.
He warned that political disagreements must not degenerate into crisis and appealed for tolerance during the electioneering campaign.
Sule however, commended President Bola Tinubu’s reforms on electricity generation, revenue and security, including the state Police Bill now before states.
