Man reportedly caught after withdrawing ₦1.4m from stroke-battling mother’s account to fund betting

A Nigerian man has reportedly been caught after allegedly withdrawing a total of ₦1.4 million from his stroke-battling mother’s account and using the money for betting.

In a video circulating online, the man was questioned about several withdrawals made from his mother’s account, with him admitting that he transferred some of the money into his own account and also sent some to a friend.

He reportedly admitted withdrawing ₦100,000, ₦200,000 and ₦300,000, among other amounts, from his mother’s account.

When questioned about what he did with the money, the man admitted using some of it to gamble and place bets through different betting accounts.

He also admitted withdrawing another ₦170,000 from his mother’s account for betting, as well as ₦130,000 which he allegedly used to place bets through his employer’s account.

When asked to state the total amount he had withdrawn from his mother’s account, he said it was ₦1.4 million.

The person questioning him expressed concern over his actions, particularly because his mother was reportedly on a sick bed and battling stroke while he was using her money for betting.
