Man be@ts neighbor to de@th in Ogun for ‘playing rough’ with his son

The police in Ogun State have arrested a 43-year-old man identified as Edebiri Temitope (right) for allegedly be@ting his neighbor, 38-year-old Mike Oje, to de@th in Mowe, a community in the state.
According to reports, Edebiri ass@ulted late Oje over his ‘rough play’ with his three-year-old son.

The deceased is said to have returned from his office and accosted the little boy, who ran towards him. Late Oje is said to have hugged him back, thrown him playfully in the air, and caught him before entering his own apartment.

Eyewitnesses say the suspect later stormed late Oje’s house and accused him of playing roughly with his son. He allegedly grabbed a bamboo stick and repeatedly used it on Oje until he collapsed and d!ed.
Upon coming to terms with the gravity of the crime he had committed, Edebiri fled the scene and went into hiding.

The police were alerted, and after a very detailed investigation, arrested the suspect and transferred him to the State CID, Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further investigation.

Confirming the incident, the command’s spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, said the suspect will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.
