‘Jonathan lost as sitting president, 30 APC govs can’t save Tinubu’ – Kwankwaso
The presidential running mate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has declared that 30 state governors cannot guarantee President Bola Tinubu’s victory in 2027.
Kwankwaso, who explained that the 30 state governors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have performed woefully, stressed that they cannot deliver Tinubu.
Speaking during a town hall meeting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Thursday, the former Kano State governor recalled that former President Goodluck Jonathan lost his re-election bid as a sitting president.
“Jonathan was the sitting president, and he lost the election. Those who think that because they have more than 30 governors, they cannot lose are making a very big mistake.
“The trend is that those governors and their parties have performed woefully. It is difficult for many of them to even come out and campaign because, from top to bottom, they did absolutely nothing,” he said.
