Recruitment: Immmigration, NSCDC, Fire Service board gives fresh update

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has issued a fresh update on the dress code for candidates shortlisted for the oral interview in its ongoing 2024/2025 recruitment exercise.
The Board, in a statement issued on Thursday by its Head of Press and Public Relations, Okeh Juliet, said the oral interview would commence on September 7, 2026.
The clarification followed enquiries from candidates seeking to know the acceptable attire for the interview.
Approved dress code for candidates
According to the Board, candidates attending the oral interview are required to wear a white T-shirt, which may be either short or long-sleeved.
For female candidates, wearing a long-sleeved white T-shirt is optional. Candidates are also expected to wear either white shorts or white long trousers, with long trousers being optional for female candidates.
The approved outfit also includes white sneakers and white socks. Headscarves are permitted for female candidates but remain optional.
The Board warned candidates to strictly comply with the approved dress code, stressing that anyone who fails to meet the requirements will not be allowed into the interview venue.
The oral interview is the final stage of the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service and Nigeria Immigration Service.
Shortlisted candidates to select interview venues
The Board had earlier announced that candidates who applied under the Graduate Category were to check their shortlisting status on the official recruitment portal between August 31 and September 2, 2026.
Candidates who applied with NCE, OND and SSCE qualifications are scheduled to check their shortlisting status from September 7 to 9, 2026.
Shortlisted candidates are required to select a venue closest to them, as well as a preferred date and time, before printing their invitation letters.
The Board urged candidates to carefully follow all instructions contained in their invitation letters and ensure they arrive at their selected venues appropriately dressed.
Recruitment remains free
The CDCFIB also reiterated its warning against individuals who may demand money from applicants in exchange for employment.
The Board stressed that the recruitment exercise is completely free of charge and advised candidates not to pay anyone who claims to have the ability to influence their recruitment.
It urged applicants to rely only on official information from the Board and its recruitment portal to avoid falling victim to fraudsters.
The Board wished all shortlisted candidates success in the oral interview and urged them to conduct themselves properly throughout the exercise.
