Former Fox News producer d!es by su!cide in Florida

Jennifer Eckhart, a podcast host and a former Fox Business associate producer, has d!ed at age 36.

According to the New York Post, who spoke with authorities, she was discovered d3ad on Friday, September 18, 2026 in her Martin County, Fla., home.

She appears to have d!ed by su!cide, according to the sheriff’s office.

Her mother contacted sheriff’s officials after finding her Eckhart d3ad in her home.

Eckhart was in the master bedroom’s bathroom’s bathroom and had a pocketknife in her hand.

Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek addressed her d3ath at a news conference on Monday, September 21.

According to highlights from the news conference, her mother found her in bathtub with large laceration to her neck.

Her d3ath has been ruled su!cide by Martin County Sheriff’s Office and Medical Examiner’s Office.

She had been Baker Acted six times in the last year and a half between Martin County and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s offices.

She spent time in a mental health facility and had been out one week before her d3ath after she appeared to have gone off her medication that she was on while in the facility.

Neighbours described her as having frantic conversations outside the home and on the phone.

“I need to k!ll myself. It’s the last thing to do,” she wrote.

She had purchased a gun but couldn’t get it because of three-day waiting period, so she purchased a knife that was found in the bathtub.

She also has lacerations to her arms.

Ekckhart was the host of the “REINVENTED” podcast, where she interviewed “some of the world’s brightest and thought provoking figures public figures, celebrities, CEOS, athletes, business leaders and disruptors who all share one thing in common: they threw out ‘The Rule Book.’”

Noteworthy guests include Sean Paul and Billy Corgan from The Smashing Pumpkins, former NFL player Brett Farve, supermodel-turned-business mogul Kathy Ireland, TV host Melissa Rivers, actress Patricia Heaton and more.

The show, which began in 2021, shared its last new episode in March, which featured former Palm Beach prosecutor Dave Aronberg.

In 2020, Eckhart accused journalist Ed Henry of s3xual assault.

Fox News fired Henry that year following an investigation into a complaint involving alleged s3xual misconduct.

Eckhart also faced legal issues in Palm Beach County last year. An arrest affidavit shows she was arrested in July 2025 on suspicion of battery following an alleged physical altercation with her boyfriend, Thomas Beasley, after he attempted to end their relationship.

According to the affidavit per the New York Post, video of the incident showed her yelling at Beasley, striking him and ripping his shirt while demanding he delete a recording of the encounter.

She was released on her own recognizance without posting bail.
