Chaos as hundreds of Nigerians are stranded at new Nigerian Passport Intervention center in UK (video)

Nigerians on Monday, September 6 were left stranded at the newly opened Passport Intervention centers in the UK.
According to a public announcement in august signed by the Service Public Relations Officer, DCI Akinsola Akinlabi, the London and Manchester legs of the exercise will run concurrently from September 7 to September 19, 2026.
X user  @Oluomoofderby on Monday  revealed that many Nigerians had come from different parts of the UK just for the passport services but were left unattended to, a common occurrence in Nigeria.
He wrote on X,

Passport Intervention Centre in Manchester: Nigerians Deserve Better Service.
It is now 11:30 a.m., and people who arrived as early as 9:00 a.m. are still waiting, with nothing happening. This is not the way to treat Nigerians who have taken time off work, travelled long distances, and paid for passport services.
Please, we cannot continue doing things this way. We need proper planning, better organisation, clear communication, and an efficient system that respects people’s time and dignity.
We must move away from the same old ways of doing things and organise these interventions properly. Nigerians in the UK deserve better. @nigimmigration @BTOofficial @Nigerialondon
