Catholic Priest st@bbed to de@th, four others injured in monastery kn!fe rampage in Poland

A Ukrainian man has been arrested in Poland following a stabbing incident at a monastery that k!lled a Catholic priest and left four others injured.

The attack, which took place at around 9.30am on Thursday, September 24,  in the Polish town of Jarosław.

The 31-year-old Ukrainian citizen st@bbed four men and one woman on the grounds of the Abbey of Benedictine Sisters on Benedyktyńska Street.

According to Mail Online, three of the priests at the monastery are in a life-threatening condition and have been taken to hospital, along with the other two who were hurt.

A local nun, Sister Barbara Dendor, confirmed that a priest had d!ed following the attack.

She said: ‘We are aware that Father Stanisław has passed away and Father Marek is in serious condition; there are other casualties, but we do not have further details.’

‘When I arrived, there was total panic; young people who had come out of the centre witnessed it — they were saying, “Some madman, some madman!”‘ she said.

Cops are currently at the scene investigating the incident. Staff Sergeant Anna Długosz told local media: ‘Witnesses are being questioned at the scene, an inspection is underway, and we are determining all the circumstances of the incident.’

Jarosław Mayor Marcin Nazarewicz told local media that schools in the town have been advised not to let children outside.

He said: ‘The crisis management team has now informed schools, offices, and parishes that such an incident occurred and that they should be more vigilant about who enters the buildings.’
