Adamawa 2027: SDP governorship candidate unveils Fauziyah as running mate

The  governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Adamawa State, Mr. Christopher Nathaniel, has unveiled Dr. Fauziyah Ahmed Rufai, as his running mate for 2027 gubernatorial election in the state.

He was unveiled at an elaborate event attended by party members, supporters and stakeholders across the 21 local governments of the state onTuesday in Yola.

Speaking at the event, Nathaniel said the choice of his running mate followed extensive consultations with critical stakeholders of the party  across various strata.

He said her choice took  into consideration her track records of public service, experience, capacity , and contributions to the development of the society.

He reiterated the commitment of the party to salvage the people of Adamawa, by giving them responsible and people centred leadership that would change the development trajectory of the state.

Nathaniel further called on the people of the state to rally round their candidature and vote for the party at all levels, stressing that SDP remains the best option for the people of Adamawa  and Nigerians in 2027.

Meanwhile, stakeholders from the New Nigeria Peoples party (NNPP ). also attended the event and announced their decision to collapsed their structures for the SDP candidate.

Speaking on their behalf, Dr. Mustapha Mohammed Abbo, said their decision to align and collapse their structures for the SDP candidate was due to his track records and manifesto which aligned with the needs of the people of Adamawa.
