âI quit my job at Winners Church, where I worked closely with Pastor Oyedepo and met presidentsâ â Producer, Femi Dapson opens up about his journey
Nigerian music video producer Femi Dapson has opened up about leaving his job at Winners Chapel to pursue better opportunities in Lagos.
Dapson said he was already working at a high level in the church despite not having a university degree, but felt he was becoming too comfortable.
He recalled wearing suits and ties, meeting presidents and working closely with church leadership, but eventually decided to leave because he wanted to challenge himself and make more money.
After relocating to Lagos, Dapson said he worked as a cleaner before applying for a job at a firm where he competed against candidates who had BSc degrees.
He said his ability to communicate his ideas and demonstrate what he could do impressed the interviewers, despite not having a degree.
“I showed them dreams and they were so excited. I was telling them, ‘See, I’ll make your life easy. This is what I was doing in Winners.’”
Dapson eventually secured the role as a junior editor, marking another step in his career journey.
