?He left me and our two children? ? Ugandan woman seeks help to locate American serviceman

A Ugandan woman, Juliet Mbabazi, has appealed for help after alleging that her American husband, Travis Preston, left her and their two children after returning to the United States.

Mbabazi, from Mbarara, said she and Preston were married for about two years and have two children, aged three and seven.

She alleged that Preston returned to the US and later stopped providing financial support for the family, leaving her to raise the children alone.

Ugandan singer Bruno K has since joined efforts to locate Preston, appealing to Ugandans living in the US, particularly those with military connections, to help establish his whereabouts. Some Ugandans serving in the US military have reportedly reached out to offer assistance.

Bruno K also called for the US Embassy in Kampala to help establish whether the children may be eligible for US citizenship or other assistance through their alleged father.

Mbabazi has also been encouraged to seek legal assistance and approach the relevant authorities to pursue the matter through official channels. Meanwhile, Bruno K announced a fundraising effort to help the family with food, education and other immediate needs.
