2027 elections: NDC candidate unveils blueprint for House of Representatives contest

Mr Yawutama Emmanuel Amazon, the candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for Askira-Uba/Hawul Federal Constituency, Borno state, House of Representatives, Monday, unveiled his developmental agenda for the people of the constituency.
The unveiling followed the collection of party nomination and expression of interest forms at the NDC National Secretariat, Wuse II, Abuja.
Explaining his mission, he told party faithfuls and members that the development of Askira-Uba/Hawul must go beyond politics.
His agenda according to him prioritizes security, education reform including Almajiri/Tsangaya institutionalization, youth empowerment, agriculture, and rebuilding of communities affected by insurgency, among others.
“This nomination is not about me. It is about the people of Askira-Uba and Hawul who deserve peace, schools that work, jobs for our youth, and a voice that will be heard in Abuja,” Amazon stated.
He then pledged to work closely with traditional rulers, religious leaders, and security agencies to ensure that policies on education and security translate into real impact at the grassroots.
