2027 elections: ADP presidential candidate Abbas appoints aides, media guru retains spokesman position

The Presidential Candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) for the 2027 general elections, Amb. Aliyu Bin Abbas, has unveiled key members of his presidential office.

A statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA), Media & Publicity Office of the Presidential Candidate ADP, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, dated September 29, 2026, said the appointments were part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the organisational structure, coordination, administration, and strategic operations of the Presidential Campaign, while ensuring that the Office of the Presidential Candidate is adequately positioned to engage Nigerians and stakeholders across the country.

Unveiling them at a press briefing in Kano, he said the new aides are: Hon. Hamza Nasarawa (Chief of Staff), Fati Mustapha (Head of Admin), Hon. Abel Adinoyi Salami (Deputy Chief of Staff), Engr. Kabiru Ahmad Kwalli (Chief Protocol Officer) Hon. Oludare Olatunde (Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Special Duties), Hon. Meshack Onyeche (Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Youth and Support Groups), Hon. Mustapha Abdulsamad (Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Domestic Affairs) and Hon. Zainab Isa (Special Assistant (SA) on Women Mobilisation).

Others are, Hon. Abdullahi Zangina Mainamaji (Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Finance, Budget and Planning), Hon. Aliyu Garba — (Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Strategy and Planning), Hon. Hassan Umar Muhammad (Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Transport and Logistics), Hon. Mercy Eke (Official Office Secretary), and Hon. Collins Onyeaji — Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Human Relations and Inter-Party Affairs, Hon. Maryam Khalid (Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Humanitarian Affairs), Alh Tijjani Lawal Kofar Wambai (Special Assistant on North West Matters) and Chisom Chibizor Nonyia (Special Assistant on South East Affairs).

He explained that as the need arises, other appointments would be announced.

Amb. Aliyu Bin Abbas congratulated the newly appointed aides and charged them to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, discipline, professionalism, loyalty, and an unwavering commitment to national service.

He emphasised that the emerging political movement is anchored on the principles of Nigeria First, inclusive governance, national unity, youth participation, institutional accountability, and a new generation of leadership.

“These appointments are not merely positions of privilege; they are positions of responsibility. Every member of this team must understand that we are entrusted with a national mission and must therefore serve with humility, competence and an unwavering commitment to the Nigerian people,” he said.

The Presidential candidate further called on the team to work collectively and diligently towards presenting Nigerians with a credible alternative and a clear vision for a New Nigeria that works for all people.
