The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe state, Alhaji Mohammad Gadaka, has cast his vote in the ongoing local government council elections across the state.
Gadaka exercised his franchise at exactly 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Kokea community, polling unit 015, Dala A, Kofan Mai Anguwa, in Fika Local Government Area (LGA)..8
Shortly after voting, the party chairman toured several polling units across the LGA, including the Goge collation centre, to monitor the exercise.
Speaking with journalists after casting his ballot, Gadaka expressed satisfaction with the voter turnout, describing the atmosphere as free and fair.
He also commended the timely arrival of voting and election materials at the polling units.
He urged electorate to continue conducting themselves peacefully throughout the voting process.
Some electorates at the Kokea polling units also shared their thoughts on the exercise, adding their voices to the growing chorus of civic participation witnessed across Yobe state.
The council elections are holding across all LGAs of the state.
