Why Tinubu, Ododo will emerge victorious in 2027 elections, by cleric

A former Kogi state governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 election, Pastor Innocent Ihiovi, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kogi state Governor Usman Ododo would emerge winners  in the 2027 presidential and Kogi state governorship elections.

 Ihiovi made the declaration in an interview with journalists from the top of Zuma Rock in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), after a spiritual exercise.

 The cleric, who is a known supporter of the immediate past governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Adoza Bello, addressed journalists during the exercise, where he spoke extensively about the performances of Tinubu and Ododo.

Ihiovi commended the two leaders over what he described as their “significant development achievements,” insisting that their performances would remain noteworthy in the political history of Nigeria and Kogi state.

 According to him, “Nigeria has never produced a present like Tinubu since independence in 1960.”

He cited the federal government’s interventions in education and infrastructure as areas where he said the Tinubu administration had recorded remarkable progress.

The cleric also highlighted several federal government’s programmes targeted at young Nigerians, including the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND); 3 Million Technical Talent programme (3MTT); Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF), National Youth Talent Export Programme (NATEP); Student Venture Capital Grant (SVCG); Skill-Up Artisans Programme (SUPA), and Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE).

He said the initiatives were designed to provide skills, finance, and opportunities to young Nigerians.

He particularly commended Governor Ododo for his efforts to actualise the potentials of the state for the benefits of the people through infrastructure developments and initiatives spanning road, health, education, agriculture, environment among others across the three senatorial districts of the state.

 The former governorship aspirant also lauded the Accountant General of Kogi state, Hajia Habibat O. Tijani, whom he described as the “best in the history of the state.”

Ihiovi commended her numerous achievements and contributions extending beyond the conventional responsibilities of her office.
