Fubara stated this on Saturday through the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential marketing campaign rally in Port Harcourt.

According to the Governor, Rivers State has been by sufficient combating, including that leaders have fought, supporters have fought, and the state has suffered for it.

“The time of war is over; it’s time of peace. We cannot continue to fight and expect the state to move forward,” Fubara said.

The governor said it is now time for everybody to come together, noting that Rivers State needs peace to grow, and peace will only come if leaders and followers agree to forgive and move on.

He said the fight of the past only brought pain and division. He said the people of Rivers were the ones who suffered most while the leaders were fighting.

“We have wasted sufficient time combating. Now is the time to construct. Now is the time to work for the individuals,” he added.
